City overrun with film crews; drivers inconvenienced

Hand it to NYC Parking Enforcement to put these notices up all around the Silicon Fish Market on a Sunday night. What if I’m parked legally at a Tuesday-Friday spot? I guess I’m supposed to check for new movie productions every 24 hours. (How many movies can Don Cheadle do, anyway?)

Someone please find out what production this no-parking notice is associated with? So I can stage a boycott…

Curse you booming NYC film economy!

(Apologies in advance for all the SCREAMING. It’s just the City’s way of communicating.)

PARKING ENFORCEMENT DISTRICT

NO PARKING
VEHICLES MUST BE MOVED BY:

DATE: Monday 3/20/06 TIME: 4:00 – P.M.

OR THEY WILL BE RELOCATED TO THE NEAREST LEGAL PARKING SPACE

To me this sounds like a great service. You’ll find me a legal parking space? Oh…wait. Now I get it.

UPDATE: Drove home Sunday night, found a great Tuesday-Friday spot a half-block from my apartment. EYE OF THE TIGER! Thanks to suestar for providing encouragement. It can be done!

Warms my heart to hear stories like this. Having Eye of the Tiger is a foolproof way to get a parking spot. If you doubt that for one minute – even for one second – it’s not genuine EOTT . Stay focused and calm at all times and great parking is always around the corner.
