Apologies to the couple driving a minivan on Ocean Parkway last night around 11:30 pm. They asked for directions to the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel. I assumed – big mistake – that there would be signs making it plain. BUT NO. You have to know to take exit 1, then drive five minutes down scary Hamilton Avenue, before you see a sign for the tunnel. Nice job, DOT.
Then again, I did direct them to “follow me”, which they did not do, so I guess they’ll have to take partial responsibility here.
