City overrun with film crews; drivers inconvenienced

March 20, 2006

Hand it to NYC Parking Enforcement to put these notices up all around the Silicon Fish Market on a Sunday night. What if I’m parked legally at a Tuesday-Friday spot? I guess I’m supposed to check for new movie productions every 24 hours. (How many movies can Don Cheadle do, anyway?)

Someone please find out what production this no-parking notice is associated with? So I can stage a boycott…

Curse you booming NYC film economy!

(Apologies in advance for all the SCREAMING. It’s just the City’s way of communicating.)

To me this sounds like a great service. You’ll find me a legal parking space? Oh…wait. Now I get it.

International Parking Sign Conference

March 14, 2006

Courtesy of Rich Mintz, attending the IPSC, who found this sign, which was supposed to be a secret, but we’ve decided to let the cat out of the bag. This sign will be debuting in 2008 as the new welcome sign for NYC, posted at the entrance to all the bridges & tunnels.
